Surge is a damage dealer with moderate health unique trait and attack he can upgrade with every super he is good for countering most assassins and tank and is very versatile and good against most classes of brawer he can fit into nearly every game mode as a solid option and is a very solid brawler to choose overall Main Attack:
Stage 1 - surge shoots a short-ranged projectile which if hits an enemy 2 smaller projectiles spilt off of it horizontally dealing 50% less damage then the main attack has a slow reload speed and surge has slow movement speed deals 2360 damage at power 11 Stage 2 - surge has the same main attack as stage 1 but has fats movement speed now Stage 3 - surge gets a massive range increase making him a threat to marksmen Stage 4 - surge's main attack now splits into 6 smaller projectiles all dealing 50% less damage
and split diagonally as well as horizontally Super:
surge can jump a short distance in any direction and deals 2300 to any enemy in its area
also upgrading a stage however if he dies (without star power) he automatically goes back to stage 1Gadget - Power shield
surge takes 50% of any damage he takes and reloads 2 ammo with it shield lasts for 2 seconds
this gadget is so good for surge if he needs quick ammo in a close fight then this gadget clutches you can also use it to escape a fight without taking too much damage really good in modes where surge needs to end fights quickly other gadget is good for upgrading but once you get to stage 3 it's kinda useless power shield can ensure that surge can upgrade and become more of a threat Star Power - Serve ice cold
if surge is upgraded to stage 2 he can never downgrade from it keeping it for the whole match even if he dies
this star power is easily his better star power as he can always move around fast as soon as you upgrade him which means it's easier to get to his stage 3 and 4 this star power guarantees that surge will never be a sitting duck after upgrading and is always useful in modes apart from solo showdown and duels other star power is really only good at stage 4
and is very niche Hypercharge - Stage 5
surge gets added range and his main attack always splits even if missing walls or targets
this hyper is seriously broken although surge used to be able to split his attack the range is good for just spamming and killing off marksmen or any target or resetting a situation
very good and after hypercharge surge will reset to stage 3 minimum Review:
this kit allows surge to always be some sort of threat with him being able to catch enemies off guard picking off selected targets and applying a huge amount of pressure and if a tank or assassin is on the enemy team you've already won very good damage dealer not for insane DPS but for being very dangerous at stage 3+
surge can counter marksmen with his stage 3+ range assassins with his super's knockback
tanks with range and knockback and artilleries with his ability to jump over walls as well as support brawlers because of his high quick DPS (7080 at power 11)
